A fruit merge game about space, timing and pairs
Watermelon Merge is a physics-based fruit puzzle: the pieces fall, roll and settle instead of snapping to a grid. Two fruits of the same level combine into the next level. You can play above and use these situations to understand which drop is likely to help your board.
Situation 1: a pair is separated by a smaller fruit
Suppose two level-4 fruits sit on opposite sides of a level-2 fruit. Dropping another level-4 on top does not guarantee that all three will meet: the smaller fruit may keep the lower pair apart, and the new fruit may raise the pile instead.
Look for a matching level-2 fruit you can send toward the obstruction. If you can clear or move it through a merge, the larger pair may roll together. Check the Next preview before committing. If no useful match is coming, preserve an open landing area rather than burying the small fruit deeper.
Situation 2: one merge could feed the next
Two level-3 fruits create a level-4 fruit. If a level-4 is already nearby and the new fruit can reach it, the next merge can produce a level-5. Think about where the new fruit will have room to move, not only where the first pair touches.
A chain depends on the actual positions and collisions; it is not guaranteed just because the levels line up. Let each result settle before dropping again. In this game, the level-3 pair earns 6 points and the level-4 pair earns 10, for 16 points in that example. The chain message does not add a score multiplier.
Situation 3: the pile is close to the dashed line
Choose a reachable pair that can reduce the immediate crowding. A match near the top may help, but its larger result can also push neighboring fruit upward. Avoid treating every available merge as automatically safe.
A landed fruit above the line starts a shared two-second overflow timer. Merging one pair will not reset that timer if another counted fruit remains above the line. Leave room before the board reaches this state, and use the Pause button when you need time to inspect the pile.
From a small pair to the final watermelon
There are 11 fruit levels. Two equal levels merge into one level higher, regardless of the skin. A pair of level-n fruits scores n × (n + 1) ÷ 2 points: a level-1 pair scores 1, a level-5 pair scores 15, and a level-10 pair scores 55 when it creates a watermelon.
At level 11, two watermelons clear together for 66 points instead of creating another level. The round continues if there is space. The fruit-order guide below shows the complete sequence, pictures and per-pair scores; the numbered strip beside the game follows your selected fruit appearances.
Fruit merge rules, explained
What makes two fruits merge?
They must touch and have the same level. Similar colors or shapes are not enough, especially if you have mixed skins. A newly merged fruit also has a short cooldown before it can merge again.
Does a chain merge earn bonus points?
Each pair contributes its normal score. There is no extra multiplier for a chain. For example, a level-3 merge followed by a level-4 merge gives 6 + 10 = 16 points.
Can I choose the next fruit?
The game supplies the next fruit; you choose where to drop it. Use the Next preview to plan a landing place and keep matching levels accessible.
Why do the fruits keep moving after I drop one?
The board uses physics. Round fruits can roll along neighbors or fall into gaps as the pile changes. Wait for the movement to settle so your next drop is based on the current board.
Do skins make the fruit merge game easier?
Skins change the appearance of fruit, the scene and the drop decoration. They do not change collision sizes, scoring, drop timing or merge rules. Use the numbered fruit strip if mixed looks make a pair hard to recognize.
Is this a separate game from the homepage?
It is the same Watermelon Merge game, presented here with a focus on combinations and board strategy. In the same browser profile and site, it uses the same local round, best score and skin settings when storage is available.

Data and regional settings
When enabled, Google Analytics 4 uses first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_0EVYRRCM6Y, up to 180 days) to measure visits, pages, basic device information and approximate location. Enhanced Measurement stays on and may record scrolling, outbound clicks, searches, downloads, video or form interactions when enabled and applicable. Google receives these measurements, which may include page or link URLs, query parameters, referrers and search terms. Our single initial page-view payload omits query strings and fragments and reduces its referrer to the origin; this does not redact all automatically collected events. We add no custom game-score, saved-round or skin-choice events or Google signals. These controls manage Google Analytics only; advertising and any related choices are described separately in the privacy policy.
Cloudflare provides a country code through this site to choose the default: analytics requires your permission in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and when the region is unknown. Elsewhere analytics starts by default. The country check does not contact Google. Rejecting stops future measurement and attempts to remove accessible first-party GA cookies. It cannot undo requests already in flight or erase data already received by Google.
