Privacy policy

You can play Watermelon Garden and read this policy without allowing Google Analytics. This policy describes the hosted website at watermelonmerge.com; the separate portable offline HTML edition contains no analytics.

Last updated:

1. Who operates this site

The website operator uses the public name jingquanlaihk. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. Watermelon Garden is a browser game with no account registration or payments. There are currently no ads.

This policy explains the data used to provide the game, keep the site available and secure, remember your choices, understand website use and answer messages you choose to send. It does not claim that a regional setting alone satisfies every applicable privacy law.

2. Game data stored in your browser

When browser storage is available, your current round, best score, skins, sound settings and language preference are saved locally in this browser profile. They support resuming play and remembering your preferences. The game does not upload these saves to an account or automatically sync them across devices.

Local game and preference storage has no fixed expiry set by the site. New play can replace a saved round; restarting or ending a round can remove it. Clearing site data, private browsing, storage restrictions or browser cleanup can remove or prevent saves. Turning off analytics does not clear your game saves.

3. Hosting, connection data and Cloudflare

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site and supports its security. To serve requests, Cloudflare can process connection and request information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, timestamps and approximate location. The site's country-check endpoint uses the country code supplied by Cloudflare to choose the Google Analytics default; it returns no IP address and the site code does not add its own IP logging there.

That does not mean Cloudflare processes no IP addresses or keeps no logs. Cloudflare may also provide traffic and performance measurement through a hosting-injected browser beacon. The Google Analytics controls on this site do not control Cloudflare's hosting, security or separate measurement. Processing and retention depend on the Cloudflare services and settings in use; see Cloudflare's privacy policy below.

4. Google Analytics and automatic measurements

When enabled, Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-0EVYRRCM6Y) helps the operator understand visits and improve the website. Google receives measurements such as pages viewed, browser and device information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. Contacting Google's services also involves processing technical connection information, including IP addresses; see Google's privacy information below for its practices.

Enhanced Measurement is enabled. Depending on the features enabled and used, automatic events may include scrolling, outbound clicks, site searches, file downloads, video engagement, form interactions and navigation changes. These measurements may include page or link URLs, query parameters, referrers and search terms. Avoid putting personal or confidential information in page URLs or search terms.

The site's one manually sent initial page view removes the query string and fragment from its page URL and reduces its referrer to the origin. This protection does not redact every automatic event. The site adds no custom events for game scores, saved rounds or skin choices, and its code disables Google signals and ad-personalization signals.

5. Regional defaults and your choice

Optional Google Analytics starts off while the region is checked. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the territories included in the site's protected-region list, it stays off unless you allow it. It also stays off when the region cannot be verified. In other recognized countries, it starts by default when browser storage is reliable and no rejection or invalid previous choice blocks it.

The protected list includes Åland, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, Mayotte and Saint Martin (French part). Regional detection is approximate and can be affected by a VPN or network route. You can reject or turn off Google Analytics in any region using Analytics choices at the bottom of every page. Closing the panel is not permission.

Before the gate permits analytics, the site does not load the Google tag or intentionally send denied-consent cookieless pings. Rejecting stops future site-controlled Google Analytics measurement attempts and tries to remove accessible first-party GA cookies. It cannot recall a request already in flight or erase data Google already received. Previously sent data and separate Cloudflare processing are not controlled by this switch.

6. Cookies, choices and retention

When analytics is enabled, the site configures the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_0EVYRRCM6Y with a maximum lifetime of 180 days and automatic cookie-expiry renewal disabled (cookie_update: false). Browser limits, cookie clearing or a later new cookie can affect what is stored. Cookie lifetime is not the same as retention of data already sent to Google.

Your explicit analytics choice is stored in localStorage under watermelon-garden.analytics-choice with the notice version and the time of the change. This record has no fixed site-set expiry; it remains until changed, cleared or otherwise removed by the browser. A necessary rejection-only cookie, watermelon_analytics_denied, lasts up to 400 days as an opt-out backup and contains no tracking identifier. If storage is blocked, your choice may last only for the current page.

Google's server-side retention depends on the Analytics property's settings and the type of data or report. A single server-side duration has not been verified for this site, so the 180-day cookie limit should not be read as a Google data-deletion deadline. Cloudflare retention also depends on its services, settings and purposes. Contact the operator for questions about retention or a deletion request.

If you email the operator, the email address, message and any information you include are used to respond and handle the request. Email correspondence is stored in the operator's mailbox. No fixed deletion period for that correspondence is stated here; contact the operator with retention or deletion questions. Do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information.

7. Recipients and international processing

The relevant service providers include Cloudflare for hosting, delivery, security and any enabled Cloudflare measurement, and Google for enabled Analytics. If you email the contact address, email service providers process that correspondence. Data may also need to be disclosed when required by law or to protect the site and its users.

The operator and service providers may process or access information from countries outside your own; Google and Cloudflare operate globally, including in the United States. Applicable legal requirements and transfer safeguards depend on the circumstances and services involved. The links below explain the providers' practices; this page does not claim that all possible international transfers have been independently assessed or approved.

8. Your controls, rights and requests

Use Analytics choices to allow, reject or withdraw your choice at any time. You can also manage cookies and localStorage in your browser. Clearing all site data can erase your game progress and preferences as well as analytics choices, so use the analytics controls if you only want to turn off GA.

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact [email protected] with the request and enough context to identify the relevant interaction. The operator may need proportionate information to verify the request; do not send identity documents unless specifically needed through an appropriate channel.

There are no player accounts, and local game saves are not held by the operator. The operator may therefore be unable to link an analytics record to a particular player or retrieve a save from another device. Withdrawing permission does not undo processing already carried out. Requests will be handled subject to applicable rights, exceptions and response requirements.

9. Children and families

This game does not ask players for their age and has no account or chat feature. The operator does not knowingly ask children to submit personal information. The hosting and analytics processing described above can still occur when children visit; not asking for age does not prevent that processing. Parents and guardians should help children use appropriate privacy settings and avoid sending personal details by email. If you believe a child has provided personal information to the operator, contact the privacy email so it can be reviewed and handled as applicable. This statement is not an age-verification system.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may change when the site's features, providers or data practices change. The date at the top identifies this version. Material changes will be reflected here and additional notice or a new choice will be provided where required. Review this page for the current description before sharing personal information.
